LUCKY JIM SEEDS T-SHIRT | VINTAGE AMERICAN SEED TRADE

The Lucky Jim Seeds T-Shirt takes the visual language of old American seed companies and agricultural advertising and turns it into a clean retro graphic tee. A large green four-leaf clover, weathered lettering and the J.A. McCarty Seed Co. name give the design the character of something pulled from an old seed catalogue, warehouse sign or printed trade label.

Rather than treating Americana as decoration, the graphic connects to a real piece of American seed-trade history.

A REAL EVANSVILLE SEED COMPANY REFERENCE

J.A. McCarty Seed Co. operated in Evansville, Indiana and appears in surviving American seed catalogues from the 1930s. The Lucky Jim name also appears in later material connected with the company, including popcorn advertising and product labelling.

BINKY reworks that reference into a vintage-inspired graphic rather than presenting the shirt as a reproduction of one specific historical label. The result keeps the agricultural character while giving it a stronger streetwear context.

FOUR-LEAF CLOVER. SEED-TRADE GRAPHICS.

The oversized green clover gives the shirt its immediate visual identity. Around it sit the Lucky Jim Seeds lettering, the J.A. McCarty Seed Co. reference and Evansville, Indiana details, creating the feel of old commercial seed graphics without overcomplicating the design.

The slightly distressed treatment adds age and texture, while the simple green palette keeps the print bold enough to work across all three shirt colours.

This version is printed on a classic unisex T-shirt with a regular fit and standard length. The fabric has a structured, substantial feel while remaining a regular T-shirt rather than a heavyweight garment.

The tubular body has no side seams. Taped neck and shoulders and double-stitched sleeves and bottom hem keep the construction simple and classic.
